I don’t know how to do yoga…

I’m not flexible, so there is no way I can do yoga…

I don’t have the patience to do yoga…

Yoga is not a workout….or….yoga is waaayyy to hard, there is no way.

You have either heard this before, or even said it yourself. I am here to give you a new perspective on the idea of bringing yoga into your life.

Why would you do this?

  • improves your flexibility

  • builds muscle strength

  • increased improvement in your posture

  • Prevents cartilage and joint breakdown

  • increases blood flow

  • increases lymphatic flow

whoa…to be honest..this is only a few of the many many reasons why you should bring this practice into your life! What if we just brought in some simple movements that you could introduce into your life for 10 min each morning?

I know, that sounds way to simple, let’s take a chance and learn some yoga!

Let’s introduce a Sun Salutation, or what would be called Namaskar.

Namaskar means: The root of nama, meaning “to bow”.

Getting your body moving every day is such a huge task sometimes, so this simple sequence is a great place to start.

And, one incredible bonus to this is that you are incorporating breath into this movement as well so not only is there benefit to the physical body, you are working to open up the mind!

Some of those benefits include:

  • reduced anxiety and depression

  • lowers/stabilizes blood pressure

  • Increases energy levels

  • improved immunity

  • decreased feelings of stress and overwhlem

So, I do not know about you, but if I can move my body with 5 simple Sun Salutations and have all of those sweet benefits…
